Tapas Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 4 medium potatoes, peeled and cut into bite-sized cubes
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder (adjust to your spice preference)
  • 1/2 cup tomato sauce
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon hot sauce (such as Tabasco or Sriracha)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Place the potato cubes in a pot of salted water and bring it to a boil. Cook the potatoes until they are fork-tender, about 10 minutes.
  3. Drain the potatoes and let them cool slightly.
  4. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic, smoked paprika, and chili powder. Cook for a minute until fragrant.
  5. Add the tomato sauce to the skillet and stir well to combine with the spices. Let it simmer for a few minutes to thicken.
  6. While the sauce simmers, spread the cooked potato cubes on a baking sheet in a single layer. Drizzle with a little olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  7. Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for about 20-25 minutes or until the potatoes are crispy and golden brown.
  8. In a small bowl, mix together mayonnaise and hot sauce to make the spicy mayo dipping sauce.
  9. Once the potatoes are done, transfer them to a serving dish. Drizzle the tomato sauce over the potatoes or serve it on the side.
  10. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley, if desired. Serve the Patatas Bravas with the spicy mayo sauce on the side.

Enjoy your delicious Patatas Bravas tapas! Remember, tapas can include a wide variety of dishes, so feel free to explore and try other recipes like Spanish omelette (Tortilla Española), Gambas al Ajillo (garlic shrimp), or Albóndigas (meatballs) to create a tapas feast.
