Ingredients:
- 4 medium potatoes, peeled and cut into bite-sized cubes
- 4 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon chili powder (adjust to your spice preference)
- 1/2 cup tomato sauce
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon hot sauce (such as Tabasco or Sriracha)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Place the potato cubes in a pot of salted water and bring it to a boil. Cook the potatoes until they are fork-tender, about 10 minutes.
- Drain the potatoes and let them cool slightly.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic, smoked paprika, and chili powder. Cook for a minute until fragrant.
- Add the tomato sauce to the skillet and stir well to combine with the spices. Let it simmer for a few minutes to thicken.
- While the sauce simmers, spread the cooked potato cubes on a baking sheet in a single layer. Drizzle with a little olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
- Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for about 20-25 minutes or until the potatoes are crispy and golden brown.
- In a small bowl, mix together mayonnaise and hot sauce to make the spicy mayo dipping sauce.
- Once the potatoes are done, transfer them to a serving dish. Drizzle the tomato sauce over the potatoes or serve it on the side.
- Garnish with chopped fresh parsley, if desired. Serve the Patatas Bravas with the spicy mayo sauce on the side.
