Ingredients:
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish, optional)
Instructions:
- Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook until they are browned and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes per side. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in the chicken broth and scrape the bottom of the skillet to release any browned bits. Let the broth simmer for a few minutes to reduce slightly.
- Reduce the heat to medium-low and add the heavy cream, grated Parmesan cheese, dried basil, dried oregano, and red pepper flakes (if using) to the skillet. Stir well to combine all the ingredients.
- Place the cooked chicken breasts back into the skillet, ensuring they are coated with the creamy sauce. Simmer gently for 2-3 minutes to heat the chicken through and let the flavors meld together.
- Remove the skillet from the heat and let the chicken rest in the sauce for a couple of minutes.
- Serve the Marry Me Chicken over cooked pasta, rice, or mashed potatoes. Spoon the creamy sauce over the chicken and garnish with fresh chopped parsley, if desired.
Enjoy your delicious Marry Me Chicken with its creamy, flavorful sauce!
