Caprese Salad Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 large ripe tomatoes
  • 8 ounces fresh mozzarella cheese
  • A handful of fresh basil leaves
  • Extra-virgin olive oil
  • Balsamic glaze or reduction (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Slice the tomatoes and mozzarella into ¼-inch thick slices.
  2. Arrange the tomato and mozzarella slices on a serving platter, alternating between them.
  3. Place a fresh basil leaf on top of each tomato and mozzarella slice.
  4. Drizzle extra-virgin olive oil over the salad.
  5. If desired, drizzle balsamic glaze or reduction over the top for added flavor.
  6. Sprinkle salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Note: Caprese Salad is best served fresh. You can prepare the ingredients ahead of time, but assemble the salad just before serving to maintain its freshness and flavor.
